Orange Beach…Day 4

Wow. Today was LOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGG. Still fun though! We spent the morning playing on the beach. Addie went on quite a few runs up and down the sand with Granddaddy, ran in and out of the water, helped dig a GIANT hold for her to play in, and wore herself out!

I LOVE her polka dot bikini! And it made it very easy to spot her running around.

It looks like they’re having a deep conversation.

After playing at the beach, we headed back to the pool. Addie decided she wanted to jump. IMG_7570_edited-1

And jump.

And Jump.

It made me laugh that she always closes her eyes before she jumps.

She had such a good time splashing around and swimming!

After naptime, we found a park near our condo. The girls played on the swings, climbed up and down everything they could find, went through the tunnels, and tried out all the slides.

We left the park earlier than we had planned, because Penny didn’t seem to be feeling too great. After we came home, Liz took her temp, and it was pretty high. We got both girls to sleep (finally!), but Penny woke up a while later coughing and wheezing. After some calls to her pediatrician, Liz and I headed out with Penny for her very first Emergency Room visit.

Finally, after an exam, a chest xray, a strep test, and a steroid shot, we were on our way back home at 3:30am. Poor Penny has Croup. Hopefully she feels much better tomorrow, and is ready to get back to enjoying her beach vacation!

  1. If P starts wheezing again, take her in the bathroom, turn the hot water on high, and let her breathe steam until it eases. I used to do this with Allie all the time.
