She grew up overnight..

Addie seemed to grow up overnight. She started walking. She wants to do things herself. She’s into EVERYTHING. We went to the pool today (as we do everyday…along with our friend’s Christy and Elias), and Addie decided she was ready to “swim” by herself. (WITH her puddle jumper on, of course!) She would scream if I tried to help her! She’s getting WAY too big, WAY too fast!

Water Baby

Alabama summer’s are HOT. WAY too hot to do ANYTHING outside…except play in the pool. My, do we miss having a pool in our backyard!! Luckily, one of our friends has a pool at their apartment complex that we’ve been using with them. Addie and Elias play together, while Christy (and sometimes her husband, Brendon) and I attempt to keep them from drowning. :) This summer I’ve discovered Puddle Jumpers. They’re kind of like the Water Wings we had as kids, but they go all the way across the chest. So heads stay above water (for the most part). Addie goes between her Puddle Jumper and the float GiGi got her for the summer. We’ve decided this will be our new every morning play date.

We went out to the Botanical Gardens to walk around. However, it was WAY too hot. I did get a few sweet pictures of Addie and her DaDa though. :)

Fire!

Our mom’s group scheduled a tour of the Mountainbrook Firehouse. It was a lot of fun, but HOT! Then, after the tour, Addie and Elias stopped to play a game of chess. :)
