Orange Beach…Day 2

We had another AMAZING day at the beach! It started out VERY early. Ryan was working (for 27 hours straight…ugh!) in Mobile, and he was finally done around 4am, so he headed to see us (and by see us, I mean sleep!). Apparently, the girls wanted to be up to see him when he got here around 5:30. He finally got here (we were glad we could see him for a few hours!), and we headed down to the beach after breakfast to let the girls play. They helped Granddaddy build sandcastles, and then had a great time stomping them down.

Before Ryan left (he was only here long enough to take a MUCH needed nap, eat, and visit for an hour or two), we headed down to the beach to take a quick family picture.

After a nice, LONG nap, Addie and I headed to the pool with GiGi. It was COLD (it was pretty cool out all day, and VERY windy..but the sun feels SOO good!!), so Addie sat on the steps and “raked” the water with her new sand rake from GiGi.

After the pool, we headed back to the beach with LOTS of fun, new sand toys to play with, as well as the AWESOME beach chair Elissa got Addie for her birthday last year. Addie LOVES it! Thanks, Aunt Lis!!

Then, tonight (around sunset) we took the girls down for a mini photoshoot to try and get some good pictures of them together on the beach. As usual, chaos ensued. The girls were both in great moods though, so it was us chasing them down, them twirling in their dresses, laughing hysterically, and running away from us. We did manage to get some cute pictures of both of them though!

I’ve said it a million times, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE that these sweet girls are SO close in age! It’s so much fun! And, they are really two of the sweetest, funniest, craziest little people you’ll ever meet.
