Bouncin’

Every SINGLE day, Addie demands asks to go “bouncin’”. She LOVES her trampoline, and I love that she gets plenty of exercise on it.

Ballet…Week 4

First of all, let me just say that Miss Laurie (Addie’s ballet teacher) has MORE patience than ANYONE I have ever met! Ha. This was the first week no parents were allowed into the class. The way CDF is set up is that (for the little kids) there is a “parent’s lounge” that is set up on the other side of 2 way glass looking into their class. I’m pretty sure as soon as it was time for all 7 girls to go into class, every single one of them was crying. However, within 2 minutes, Miss Laurie had all most of them happy and dancing. She is seriously gifted! Addie did SO well this week! (I like to go into situations like these with VERY low expectations. That way I’m pleasantly surprised when she actually participates and does well!)

(also…as you just read…these are taken from behind 2 way glass…so the picture quality isn’t great!)

It’s a “Movement to Music” class (I love that each class has a piano player in it!), so they have scarves/drum sticks/shakers to keep their attention through the 45 minute class.

Oh, the cuteness.

She was concentrating so hard on what she was supposed to be doing, it was so funny!

IMG_3630_edited-1IMG_3632_edited-1

Then she decided, at the end of her class,  it was time to make up her own choreography. Ha.

She has next week off for the 4th of July holiday, so she’ll go back in 2 weeks. Hopefully it goes just as smoothly then!

Terrible Two’s?

We haven’t really had THAT much of a problem with the dreaded “Terrible Two’s”, however there have been a few days here and there that Addie’s little attitude can turn in a second. She will be SUPER happy and laughing and playing, and then all of the sudden out of nowhere she’s sobbing. So, what’s a good Mama to do? Grab my camera, of course! Ha.

GiGi and the Unclaimed Baggage

GiGi came to visit us for a few days this week, and we had SO MUCH FUN! One of the things she’s wanted to do for a while was to head to a place in Huntsville (actually outside of Huntsville) called the Unclaimed Baggage Center. So, we woke Addie up early one morning and headed out.

IMG_3131_edited-1

It wasn’t as big as I had expected, but there was LOTS of stuff to look through. However, Addie wasn’t much in the mood to just sit in her stroller and “look” so we didn’t spend nearly as much time as we most likely would have if we didn’t have her with us.

Addie found a kid’s broom still in the packaging that she decided she needed, and GiGi was happy to pay the $2 for it. However, GiGi was BEYOND thrilled with her find of the day.

IMG_3134_edited-1

Yes, folks, that is a beach umbrella. But not just ANY beach umbrella. It is made of Green Velvet, Gold Lamaze, and Gold Tassles. But, the crowing jewel on this is the religious are all around the edges. Jesus. The virgin Mary. Etc. It was QUITE the sight to behold.

IMG_3136_edited-1

And she paid a whopping $5 for it. I’m sure she’ll be putting it to good use. (But hopefully I won’t be any where around when she pulls it out in public! Ha)

After leaving the UBC, we had a good lunch, then we headed over to visit the Jewell’s. Addie was VERY excited to hear we were going to see Elias and Baby Sawyer!

Addie and Elias playing in the backyard, I should have known as soon as they saw the pool, they would need to get IN the pool…

I LOVE their Tiny Toms!!

IMG_3161_edited-1

And, then they were in the pool. Of course.

IMG_3181_edited-1IMG_3185_edited-1IMG_3209_edited-1

I love that these next two pictures show what we’re constantly dealing with in a 2 year old. Addie’s little attitude can change in an instant. I’m pretty sure there was about 2 seconds between these two pictures.

IMG_3224_edited-1IMG_3226_edited-1

We ended our trip shortly after that picture. Ha. However, we did have LOTS of fun, and that’s what matters.

Ballet…Week 3

You’re not allowed to take pictures if you’re actually IN the class (this is the last week we’re allowed to sit in with them to help them feel comfortable), so here’s a couple of cell phone pictures I snapped.

LOTS of pictures coming from her class next week!

New Wheels

Christy was looking on Craigslist and came across an ad for 2 power wheels car. A pink mustang and a police car. And they were cheap! So, we sent Ryan to go pick them up.

Addie looks like the profile of the Barbie doll. Ha.

Fissy Pole

Addie was watching some cartoon (I’m GUESSING Dora), and they were fishing. She talked about it non stop for a couple of days, and lucky for her, Aunt May came to visit. Aunt May went with us to Wal-Mart, and we found a pink Dora (of course) fishing pole that was the perfect size for the little diva. She LOVES it, and is very concerned about where her “Fissy Pole” is at all times.

So, we got her into her swim suit, and headed down to the creek behind our house.

She caught on pretty quickly.

She liked watching Aunt May cast it WAY down the creek, and then watching as her fish was reeled back in. (It came with a pink rubber fish that you tie onto the line, so every time you catch a fish!)

Always the fashionista.

Unfortunately, our Fishing Trip was cut short when Addie got attacked my mosquitos. Ouch!
