We decided it was FINALLY time to get Addie’s haircut. So, at the ripe old age of 2 Years, 2 Months old, Addie’s hair met the scissors. We actually don’t have a kid’s hair salon in Birmingham, but last time we were in Atlanta, Liz and I found a cute little place that I decided would be good.
Ryan took a couple of days off of work after he passed his certification on Tuesday (YAY!!!), so we decided to head to Atlanta and visit for the day/night.
Once we got to Marietta, we packed up Aunt Liz and Penny and brought them with us to Pigtails and Crewcuts. It was VERY cute inside. Complete with train table, chairs that look like airplanes, fire trucks, police cars, etc, cookies for kids to snack on, lollipops, and even playstation games and remotes for older kids getting their haircuts.
Penny checking out the train table.
Addie chose the police car to sit in.
However, she quickly decided she did NOT care for the cape they put on her. So they went on without it.
And there it is. The first cut. Which makes me think she’s getting much too big much too fast!
Eating her lollipop and driving her car.
Penny, being the good cousin she is, climbed up in the plane next to her for moral support.
Dada keeping Addie entertained.
Hair flying everywhere.
Cleaning her up.
Addie doesn’t look too convinced about her new haircut.
So her stylist added a little product for her.
And the finished product. (She had to stop by the train table before leaving!)
All in all, it was a good first experience!
After her cut, we headed to Cloud 9 for a treat for Addie and Penny. (And, of course, we all had to try it out as well!
It has frozen yogurt on one side, and cupcakes on the other. And for those who can’t decide (RYAN!), they have yogurt cups with cupcakes baked into the bottom of the cups just waiting for you to top them with fro yo and toppings! Heaven!
Addie LOVED it! (And so did the rest of us!)
And, here’s a quick before/after of her hair. It looks MUCH healthier now! And, she looks much older. Sigh.
